Mid-winter, Saint Augustine is a great place to visit. The Saragossa Inn has sold to new owners since our visit, but there are dozens of lovely B&Bs in the city. Mid-summer, Florida is the last place I want to be! (That's coming from a Florida native, too, folks, so it's not like it's a matter of "getting used to it." Ugh.) Once the weather warms up, there is no place more wonderful and refreshing and spectacularly beautiful than here in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
